These are true vintage yo yos, not made by me, they were made by somebody else in the 1960s.
All handmade.

There are 10 squares of 7 x 7 pieces each = 49 yo yos = 9" x 9" per square.

The way they are shown on picture no. 1 there are 4 going horizontal, and 3 going vertical. This gives you 36" wide x 27" high.
They can of course be arranged any which way you like.

There is also a bunch of small pieces of other vintage fabric similar in nature (same age - 1960s).

Considering their age they are still fresh looking, and pretty clean.
They were all kept together in one bag, and it appears that they have not been used for their intended purpose.
I have no idea how you would wash something like this, perhaps they can be dry-cleaned.
