HOW TO MEASURE FOR VALANCE
Measuring for valances:
Depending on how your rod is mounted, you may need a few extra inches on either side of the window opening for bracket installation.
Remember to include the rod projections/returns on both side if you are using the regular metal or continental rod that curves to the wall.
If you are using an inside mount rod, use the exact window opening measurement.
