Description

Dracaenas are commonly referred to as a group of decorative indoor trees although many other houseplants such as snake plants and lucky bamboos are also dracaenas. Dracaena leaves start growing out of the plant bottom and therefore are tightly located. As the plants become more mature, the leaves are gradually separated by growing stems. Dracaenas are proven air purifiers and very easy to grow. This listing provides a collection of six dracaena varieties that may brighten up your house or office.


Care tips

Dracaenas prefer a rich, well-draining potting mix. The plants thrive under bright, indirect light and may tolerate low light. Dracaenas are very drought tolerant. Water the plants when the top inch of soil is dry. Feed the plants with houseplant food once in a month and less frequently during the cold season by following the manufacturer's instructions.

Special care

Dracaena trees may grow tall. If they are too tall, cut off the tops to a desirable height. New sprouts will grow out shortly. The cuttings can be easily rooted for new plants.
