Handcrafted in the western highlands of Guatemala, this leather guitar strap is a fusion of traditional embroidery with contemporary design. The originality, cheapest beauty, uniqueness, and exceptional handiwork is a product of six small, local family businesses who take great pride in their artistry. Thanks to the human hands involved in each piece, all Tilde (till-day) embroidered guitar straps are made to be original...no two can be exactly alike.

Design: Nahuales (prounounced na-wal-es) are sacred Mayan spirits used in the Tzolk'in calendar to identify each of the 20 days in every month of the Mayan calendar (there are 13). Every individual receives a personal nahual based on their birth date.

This guitar strap is brand new, so just like most leather products it will take a few weeks to "soften" the new leather. We suggest the most natural, just-use-it, method rather than applying chemical softeners. From testimonials by musicians it take about 3-4 weeks of steady use (4 or 5 times a week).
